ATOM to PEEWEE

LEAD Atom to PeeWee Development Camp

Dates: Monday to Friday – 24/08/2020 – 28/08/2020,
Time: 7:00 AM – Noon
Location: Leduc Recreation Centre (Sobey’s Arena)
Ages: 10-12

At the Peewee level, the expectation is that the fundamentals from prior levels are concrete, allowing the opportunity for a focus on dynamic movement. Here we will build on all aspects of the foundation with game like scenarios to enhance the speed, agility and hockey IQ of these individuals.

Program offering:

  • Dressing room prep and debriefs
  • Ice session overviews and lesson learned
  • Power skating
  • Participant will be working on skating techniques and edge control.
  • LEAD talks
  • Discussion of the core values of the program and how they are important in our everyday lives.
  • Puck skill
  • Participants will apply skating learns with puck involvement and small game activities.
  • Dryland training
  • Groups will partake in different exercises and group conditioning activities.
  • Team Building
  • Create dynamic team setting environment to allow for groups to experience the importance of working together.

LEAD Novice to Atom Transition Program

Dates: Monday to Friday – 24/08/2020 – 28/08/2020,
Time: 7:00 AM – Noon
Location: Leduc Recreation Centre (Sobey’s Arena)
Ages: 7-9

The Novice Atom Transition program expands upon the foundation that has been established at earlier levels while introducing a new level of technique through crossovers and other multi-lateral movements which allow each athlete to take their knowledge and skills set to the next level.

Program offering:

  • Dressing room prep and debriefs
  • Ice session overviews and lesson learned
  • Transition to full ice. Power skating
  • Participant will be working on skating techniques and edge control.

James Gronau

James has been actively involved in a coaching capacity for several years in the Edmonton area at all levels. Having completed the Hockey Canada HP1 certification and coached through the Hockey Alberta U17 Program of Excellence, Jr A and most recently at Midget AAA, James has an excellent understanding of player development and has worked with former professional players in a variety of capacities. With excellent communication skills and understanding the importance of keeping kids active while on the ice while maintaining a fun yet focused effort to having players improve.

Jordan Sinatynski

Jordan played minor hockey in the Fort Saskatchewan area for 11 years. In 2017 he was the head video coach for the Sherwood Park Crusaders along with being an on-ice practice coach. He also coached summer hockey camps with the Crusaders.After Sherwood Park Jordan was assistant coach for the Fort Saskatchewan Midget AAA Rangers, where he was involved with 1 on 1 skill development and team skill development. For the past year he has coached and preformed skill development with Kirby Dach who was drafted 1st round, 3rd overall to the Chicago Blackhawks. Jordan also worked with Colton Dach on skill development and coached him in Midget AAA, Colton was drafted by the Saskatoon Blades. He worked with Eric Florchuk who plays for the Saskatoon Blades and was drafted by the Washington Capitals. Jordan has worked with several other WHL prospects.Currently Jordan is the assistant skills development coach for the Sherwood Park Midget AAA kings.
